TV Anime 'The Heroic Tale of Starting as a Mob' Hits Screens in 2024

TOKYO, Jan 28 (News On Japan) - The TV anime adaptation of "Mob Hajimaru Tankyū Eiyūtan" is set for release in 2024! The story is about a high school boy, Kaito Takagi, who hunt slimes, in a world where dungeons suddenly appear. After defeating a rare golden slime, he is awarded a Servant Card that can summon mythical beings.

The TV anime "Mob Hajimaru Tankyū Eiyūtan", published by Hobby Japan's "HJ Bunko", is based on the novel by Kai Shō.

Along with the announcement by Bushiroad Move, the first key visual and the first promotional video have been released, as well as the main staff and cast.

The rags-to-riches fantasy set in a world where dungeons suddenly appear in the modern world is a popular work with over 85 million total PVs on "Shōsetsuka ni Narō"! The latest eighth volume of the original novel will be released on Thursday, February 1st!

The first key visual features the protagonist Kaito and his servant Sylphy against the backdrop of "Dungeon Park," the setting of the story. The contrast between Kaito holding his signature (?) "insecticide spray" and Sylphy wielding the "Divine Spear" Rajunaito symbolizes the appeal of the series, which travels between the modern world and dungeons.

The catchphrase for the key visual is "Everyone was a mob at first." Even the gold-ranked explorers and the heroes that Kaito admires must have started as "mobs." Look forward to the story that begins with a "mob" after meeting Sylphy!

As the first release of cast information, two names have been announced! Kaito is played by Ariya Hosomi, and Sylphy is played by Kana Hanazawa!

Ariya Hosomi, played by Kaito Takagi, is a high school boy who dives into dungeons as a mob explorer. He's a coward who can only defeat slimes and is ridiculed by those around him, but his life changes dramatically when he obtains a rare item, the Servant Card.

Cast Comment from Ariya Hosomi: I am Ariya Hosomi, and I will be playing the role of Kaito Takagi. I hope to fully express Kaito's expressive and slightly absent-minded character, who is cool and cute as he strives towards his goals! Please look forward to Kaito's adventures as he grows with the attractive characters!!!

Sylphy, played by Kana Hanazawa Kaito, is a servant summoned from a card. She's honest and cute but is actually a demigod. Her basic abilities are tremendous, and she is characterized by her powerful attack magic, as well as defensive magic and skills that enhance the entire team's combat power.

Cast Comment from Kana Hanazawa: I will be voicing the Valkyrie Sylphy, who is summoned from a card. She's just so cute, like a mascot character in this work. She's a soothing character who is honest and gentle, but her charm also comes from the occasional sulking and seeking affection! I hope to fully express that melting cuteness.

"Mob Explorer Rising Modern Battle Fantasy" First PV Released!

The first promotional video for the TV anime "Mob Hajimaru Meikyū Eiyūtan" has been released. The first PV reveals the voices of the protagonist Kaito and Sylphy! Kaito Takagi, a LV.3 "mob" explorer, challenges the dungeons that have appeared in Japan and around the world! The servant he summons is...!? The PV gives a first glimpse of the actual footage from the series!
