TOKYO, Feb 08 (News On Japan) - The official trailer for the documentary film "Volunteering for Fools," which delves into the punk band The Swanky's, has been released. The film features extensive interviews with The Swanky's members—vocalist WATCH, bassist TV, guitarist LOODS, and drummer BEER—unraveling the history of their encounters, the truth behind their renaming to GAI, and more, alongside precious footage from the time.

The film also includes appearances by celebrities influenced by The Swanky's music and fashion, such as Shou Ayanokoji (Kishidan), TOSHI-LOW (BRAHMAN / OAU), Eiji Kotoge (Biking), and Kukki! (Wild Bomb).

In the trailer released on YouTube, Ayanokoji mentions, "I've quoted a lot from The Swanky's." LOODS also commented on the film, saying, "This movie conveys the exciting breath of '80s Hakata punk rock and our own exhilarating spirit!" Directed by Kita Seshimo, "Volunteering for Fools" will have an advanced screening at kino cinema Tenjin in Fukuoka starting March 15, followed by a nationwide release starting from March 22 at UPLINK Kichijoji in Tokyo and other theaters. *The official spelling of kino cinema includes an accent aigu on the 'e'.
