Family files complaint over student suicide

The family of a high school student who killed himself in Osaka last month filed a criminal complaint with police Wednesday against a teacher who allegedly physically punished the student.
The family claims the teacher, the chief coach of Sakuranomiya High School's basketball club, abused the 17-year-old student, who was the club's captain, during a practice game Dec. 22.
