A 19-year-old man in Iida, Nagano Prefecture, who was found dead on Saturday night, may have been the victim of his aunt's abusive ex-boyfriend, police said Monday.
According to police, the ex-boyfriend of the woman in her 30s threatened to burn down her house if she refused to get back together with him. Last Tuesday, the woman consulted police who warned the man to leave her alone.
Fuji TV reported that the woman called police again on Saturday afternoon, saying she and her child had been forcibly taken from their home by the man, but that they had escaped at a convenience store.
