Seibu Holdings Inc. has indicated it will reject a planned tender offer by U.S. private equity fund Cerberus Capital Management LP.
The railway and hotel group revealed its stance Tuesday at the first meeting of a panel of experts set up to advise the firm on the tender offer. Seibu Holdings also expressed opposition to another Cerberus plan to propose new executive appointments at the company's general shareholders meeting in June.
