Corporate tax should be lowered on par with major economies: Amari
Kyodo -- Jun 21
Economic and fiscal policy minister Akira Amari indicated Friday Japan should lower its corporate income tax level to that of major economies in the long run.

"While I do not think it is necessary to engage in excessive competition, I think we should secure a (corporate tax) level" on a par with key competitors, Amari told reporters.

Amari also said the government will focus on the most cost-effective policies under its current financial capacity, indicating the focus is on reducing the capital investment tax.
