Japan's emperor, empress visit tsunami-hit cement plant

Japan's Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko on Friday visited a northeastern Japan cement plant hit hard by the tsunami caused by the March 2011 earthquake.

The Imperial couple visited the Taiheiyo Cement Corp. plant in Ofunato, Iwate Prefecture, on the final day of their two-day trip to the prefecture to meet with people affected by the disaster.
