Manager of adult entertainment business stabbed; assailant jumps to death

The manager of an adult entertainment business was stabbed by a man who then apparently jumped to his death in Tokyo's Ikebukuro area, police said Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 12:05 a.m. Sunday. Fuji TV reported that the club, on the 9th floor of a building, had closed and the manager – a man in his 40s -- was cleaning up when another man, also in his 40s, came in and said he had forgotten his wallet.

The man then suddenly took out a knife, stabbed the manager in the back, dropped the knife and fled. A female employee called police.

A short time later, the assailant's body was found on the street below. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later. Police believe he jumped from the building after attacking the manager who was in hospital in a stable condition.
