Officials say sales totaled 14.6 trillion yen, or almost 130 billion dollars. That's up 3.4 percent from the same period last year.
Toyota posted operating profit of slightly more than 11 billion dollars, up 15.1 percent in yen terms.
The carmaker raised its net profit forecast for the full fiscal year to slightly more than 20 billion dollars.
