NHK -- Aug 06

South Korea's Joint Chief of Staff says North Korea has fired two projectiles early on Tuesday morning.

The report says the projectiles were fired from South Hwanghae province east towards the Sea of Japan.

South Korea's military has been gathering information with the US military.

This is the fourth launch by Pyongyang in less than two weeks. It also comes as a joint US-South Korea military drill is underway.

The annual exercises are taking place despite strong opposition from the North.
