Horse escapes from Tokyo racecourse site
NHK -- May 26
A retired racehorse has escaped from a racetrack in Tokyo and was hit by a vehicle while running through a nearby intersection.

Police say the horse ran away from the Tokyo City Keiba racetrack compound on Monday after jumping over a fence about 1.6 meters high.

Security camera footage shows the horse running on a road among cars and bicycles.

The horse was later captured by racecourse officials.

The vehicle's driver was reportedly safe, but the horse suffered injuries.
