KFC Japan shares official recipes on its traditional Japanese dishes

Feb 17 (econotimes.com) - KFC Japan has released recipes showing how to use its signature product as an ingredient in traditional Japanese dishes ori gobo okowa onigiri and burdock root rice balls and takikomi gohan, or miso ramen-seasoned chicken rice.

There’s no overseas fast-food chain that Japan has accepted enthusiastically as KFC, and that cultural appreciation goes both ways.

So, KFC Japan has periodically released official recipes on how to use its fried chicken as an ingredient in traditional Japanese dishes.

The gobo okowa onigiri and burdock root rice ball consists of Mirin, a type of cooking sake, kirimochi, and burdock root that aren’t too hard to find at Japanese food specialty stores outside Japan.
