Tatsuya Ichihashi kept silent when questioned about his suspected abandoning of the body of English-language teacher Lindsay Hawker who was found dead in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, in March 2007. He did, however, answer questions about his job and other matters, according to the police. The police also said Ichihashi told them the two gunlike toys he was carrying when he was arrested were self-defense sprays.
