Mitsubishi Estate Co. said Monday it will add two new skyskrapers to central Tokyo's Otemachi business district.
The two new buildings, expected to be some 100-140 meters tall, will be constructed on the site of the Resona Maruha Building and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Otemachi Building.
The site will be fully redeveloped by the end of March 2017.
The high-rise buildings can be used as business footholds by globally operating companies, Mitsubishi Estate said, noting the upper floors of one of the buildings will have accommodations for medium-to long-term guests.
