Euro below 94.50 yen; lowest level in 12 yrs

The euro sank below 94.50 yen, its lowest level in nearly 12 years in Tokyo on Monday, dragged down by renewed concerns about Spain's fiscal conditions.
As market players sought relative safety in the yen, the dollar also saw selling against the yen, temporarily slipping below 78 yen for the first time in seven weeks.
At 5 p.m., the euro was at 94.32-33 yen, down from 96.40-41 yen at the same time on Friday, and at 1 dollars.2090-2093, down from 1 dollars.2265-2267. The dollar stood at 78.01-05 yen, down from 78.58-60 yen.
