Japan stocks edge lower in choppy trade
News On Japan via MarketWatch -- Jul 24
Japanese stocks swung between gains and losses in early Tuesday trading, with U.S. losses overnight limiting gains, and as lower commodity prices hit trading-house stocks.
The Nikkei Stock Average (JP:NI225) edged down 0.1% to 8,499.93 after spending some time in positive territory, while the Topix also slipped 0.1%. Concern about Europe's prospects hit commodities during U.S. and European trade, helping weigh on Japanese trading houses. Mitsui & Co.
