BOJ Policy Board seats finally filled

The government on Tuesday officially appointed economists Takahide Kiuchi and Takehiro Sato as Bank of Japan policymakers, filling seats vacant more than three months.
Kiuchi, 48, from Nomura Securities Co., and Sato, 50, from Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities Co., will serve as Policy Board members for five years through July 23, 2017.
The two, seen as holding positive views on monetary easing, can expected to deal with such tasks as pulling Japan out of chronic deflation together.
