AirAsia Japan started its domestic flight service on Wednesday, becoming the third major Japanese low-cost carrier.
The no-frills airline launched flights between Narita Airport and New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, and between Narita and Fukuoka Airport. The Narita Airport-based airline will begin flights linking to Naha on Friday and between Narita and the South Korean cities of Seoul and Busan in October. Its fares are 15 percent to 50 percent of those of major airlines.
