Tokyo Skytree draws 1.62 mil. visitors in 100 days

The world's tallest broadcasting tower, Tokyo Skytree, drew 1.62 million visitors to its 350-meter-high main observation deck in the 100 days since its opening through Wednesday, its operator said Thursday.
Since the May 22 public opening, the total number of visitors to Tokyo Skytree Town, a commercial complex featuring the 634-meter tower in Tokyo's Sumida Ward, stood at 16.66 million visitors, already half of the 32 million visitors expected in the course of a year, Tobu Tower Skytree Co. said.
