Tokyo stocks end mixed
News On Japan via Japan Today -- Sep 18
Japanese stocks ended mixed on Tuesday after a see-saw session clouded by worries over a diplomatic dispute between Tokyo and Beijing that weighed on China-linked shares.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index finished 0.39%, or 35.62 points, lower at 9,123.77, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares was up 0.20%, or 1.48 points, at 758.36.
Some of Japan's biggest corporate names including Sony, Panasonic, Toyota, Nissan and Honda shut some or all of their China operations in the wake of violent weekend protests.
