3 Chinese surveillance ships enter Japanese waters near Senkakus

Three Chinese maritime surveillance vessels on Wednesday entered Japan's territorial waters around the Japanese-controlled Senkaku Islands, which are claimed by China, the Japan Coast Guard said.
The three moved into the waters between around 12:30 p.m. and 12:50 p.m., ignoring warnings by the coast guard, after they and another Chinese ship were seen in the contiguous zone, a band of water just outside Japanese waters around the islands in the East China Sea in the morning.
The development comes after six Chinese surveillance vessels travelled in the contiguous zone on Monday and four steamed into Japan's territorial waters on Tuesday.
