Chinese ships enter contiguous zone near Senkakus for 7th straight day

Chinese surveillance vessels entered the contiguous zone around the disputed Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea on Sunday for the seventh consecutive day, the Japan Coast Guard said.
Four maritime surveillance vessels entered the contiguous zone, a band of water just outside Japan's territorial sea, near Kuba Island in the Senkaku group, telling a patrol ship of the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, by radio that they were involved in legitimate duties, according to the coast guard.
