Homeless man found dead in latest string of attacks in Osaka

A homeless man was found dead near Osaka Station early Sunday morning, a possible victim in a string of attacks on homeless people in the area.
Kuniharu Tomatsujo, 67, was found lying on top of cardboard on a sidewalk under the elevated Osaka JR station and was taken to hospital where he was later confirmed dead.
According to the police, several men were seen attacking Tomatsujo while he was sleeping on the sidewalk early Saturday morning.
In addition, four other homeless men have been reportedly attacked in the area since Saturday morning.
A 24-year-old woman was in a serious condition Friday after being stabbed by a man whom she reported to police for stalking her in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. (Japan Today )
