Hashimoto party starts nationwide campaign

Nippon Ishin no Kai (the Japan Restoration Party), led by Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto, kicked off a nationwide campaign in Kagoshima on Saturday in preparation for the next general election.
In a stump speech at the Tenmonkan shopping district in the city, Hashimoto said he will make every effort for "Japan's restoration."
"Strength in fighting is important to change the regime. I'm confident about winning the fight," Hashimoto said, showing the party's readiness to confront existing political parties in the next House of Representatives election.
