19-year-old arrested for forcing boy to jump to his death in river

A 19-year-old youth in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, has been arrested on suspicion of forcing an 18-year-old boy to jump into a river in July, resulting in his death.
According to police, the victim, who has been named as Ryota Makino, was forced to jump into the river where he drowned.
A 24-year-old woman was in a serious condition Friday after being stabbed by a man whom she reported to police for stalking her in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. (Japan Today )
