Amazon appstore for Android opens in Japan
pcmag.com -- Nov 29
Amazon on Wednesday opened its Appstore for Android in Japan, representing the store's first push into Asia.
The store is live now, boasting apps for Android phones and tablets, including local favorites in Japan like the mushroom-growing game Mushroom Garden and the news app Yahoo Headline. Japanese customers will also find best-sellers like the games Fruit Ninja and Cut the Rope.
Japan is Amazon's seventh market launch for the Appstore, after the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Like the other locations, the Appstore in Japan offers a paid app for free every day. In addition, apps purchased from the store can be used across a customer's Android devices, including Amazon's line of Kindle Fire tablets.
