Stationmaster cat of Aizu Railway (Nov 18)
The Kishigawa Line in Wakayama has Tama the tortoiseshell cat as its stationmaster while Aizu Railway's Ashinomaki Onsen Station in Fukushima Prefecture has バス (Bus), a charcoal-gray furball stray cat who settled into the station years ago.


Worker at onsen ryokan arrested (Nov 17)
A 43-year old office worker at an onsen ryokan in Yamakita-cho in Kanagawa Prefecture was arrested after being suspected of capturing woman bathers with a small concealed camera in the mixed bathing (konyoku) area.

Shichimensou - "momiji koyo" of the sea (Nov 17)
Shichimensou are annual plants which grow to between 20-40cm in height on mud flats where there are less wind, currents, or waves. They are most abundant along the Higashiyoka-kaigan seashore in Saga Prefecture.
