Okinawa Dilanda Gempa Besar, Peringatan Tsunami Dikeluarkan

Apr 03 (News On Japan) - Gempa bumi berkekuatan diperkirakan mencapai magnitudo 7,7 mengguncang wilayah dekat Taiwan pada pukul 8:58 pagi tanggal 3 April. Peringatan tsunami segera dikeluarkan untuk pulau utama Okinawa dan daerah Miyako dan Yaeyama, namun kemudian dicabut pada pukul 10:40 pagi.

Sampai saat ini, gelombang tsunami setinggi 30 sentimeter tercatat pada pukul 9:18 pagi di Pulau Yonaguni dan 20 sentimeter pada pukul 9:52 pagi di Pulau Ishigaki.

Di Miyakojima, tsunami setinggi 20 cm tercatat pada pukul 10.08 pagi, diikuti dengan ketinggian 30 cm pada pukul 10.50 pagi.

Terkait kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh gempa bumi, Kepala Sekretaris Kabinet Hayashi menyatakan bahwa informasi masih dalam tahap pengumpulan dan hingga saat ini belum ada laporan kerusakan yang disampaikan.

Sementara itu, otoritas di Taiwan melaporkan kerusakan yang signifikan, termasuk runtuhnya bangunan di kota Hualien. Peringatan tsunami telah dikeluarkan oleh pihak berwenang Taiwan, sementara kewaspadaan ditekankan kepada masyarakat.
