550 infection clusters across Japan

NHK -- Jul 29

Japan's top government spokesperson says 550 clusters of coronavirus infections had been confirmed across the country as of Tuesday.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga Yoshihide told reporters on Wednesday that the health ministry has sent 77 teams of experts to 32 prefectures to deal with the cases.

Suga said such clusters need to be identified and contained immediately to prevent further spread.

He added that the government will continue helping municipalities compile research on the spread of the virus by sending experts.
