Setsubun Day: Take care when eating beans and ehomaki

Japan's Consumer Affairs Agency has warned that the elderly and children may choke on the annual setsubun ehomaki rolls, so they should be careful to cut them into pieces and chew them well.

In particular, children do not have enough back teeth to chew and swallow.

The agency suggests to put your head down get patted on your back if something accidentally gets stuck in your throat.
