The agency says the younger daughter of Crown Prince and Princess Akishino felt discomfort in her throat on Saturday night and developed a fever on Sunday morning.

Princess Kako had traveled to the western city of Tottori to attend a sign language performance event by high school students on Sunday. But her attendance was canceled.
