Body of Man Found in Aichi Home with a "Do Not Search" Note

Jan 15, 2024 (News On Japan) - In Aichi Prefecture's Akabicho, a man believed to be a resident was found dead under a mattress on the property of his home.

Investigators discovered a note on the residence stating "Please do not search for me, I will definitely return," raising the possibility that someone attempted to delay the discovery of the incident. Police are investigating the case as a homicide. Additionally, a 38-year-old suspect arrested in Shizuoka Prefecture for a confinement case was found in possession of the man's identification, prompting police to investigate any connection.

Around 10:30 AM on the 13th, the body of a man was found under a mattress where trash was placed, within the grounds of a residence in Akabicho, Aichi Prefecture.

Upon examining the body, police determined that the man had been dead for approximately a month and showed signs of strangulation, leading them to proceed with a murder investigation. The deceased is believed to be a man in his 50s who lived alone in the house and had been unaccounted for, prompting police officers to visit for confirmation.

Further inquiries revealed the note near the entrance of the house, suggesting an attempt to prevent the incident from being uncovered. Meanwhile, earlier this month, a 38-year-old man of unknown address and occupation was arrested in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, for confining a woman in her 30s in a car. The suspect was found with the identification of the deceased man, and police are investigating the potential relationship between the suspect and the victim.
