Teenage Girl Stabbed While Sleeping at Home, Assailant on the Run

Miyazaki, Jan 18, 2024 (News On Japan) - A teenage girl was stabbed in the back while sleeping in her bed at her home in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture, early Wednesday morning, with the perpetrator still on the run after the apparent attempted murder.

Around 3:30 AM, the father of the girl reported to the police that his daughter had been stabbed.

According to the police, a teenage girl in her late teens living in this house was stabbed in the back by someone, who then fled the scene.

The girl was conscious when she was transported to the hospital. Six people, including this girl, live in the house, and she was reportedly sleeping at the time of the incident.

The police are treating this as an attempted murder case and are searching for the perpetrator.
