Regulator Menindak Sompo Jepang atas Penipuan Asuransi Motor Besar

TOKYO, Jan 17 (News on Japan) - Badan Jasa Keuangan Jepang (FSA) bersiap-siap untuk memperketat pengawasan terhadap Sompo Jepang dengan mengeluarkan perintah perbaikan bisnis bulan ini menyusul skandal penipuan asuransi yang melibatkan klaim palsu oleh dealer mobil bekas Big Motor.

FSA telah melakukan inspeksi langsung ke Sompo Japan Insurance sejak September tahun lalu dan ke SOMPO Holdings sejak November, dan menyimpulkan bahwa perlindungan Sompo Japan Insurance terhadap para pemegang polis tidak memadai dan ada masalah dengan sistem kontrol internal perusahaan induknya, SOMPO Holdings.

FSA bermaksud untuk menuntut perbaikan dalam manajemen kedua perusahaan.
