JAXA Merilis Gambar Pertama 'SLIM' di Bulan

TOKYO, Jan 29 (News On Japan) - Foto-foto misi pendaratan bulan pertama Jepang oleh pesawat ruang angkasa 'SLIM' dirilis pada hari Kamis.

Dengan latar belakang medan berpasir abu-abu di bulan, tampak 'SLIM' yang berhasil mendarat di bulan minggu lalu. Gambar-gambar tersebut diambil oleh robot penjelajah bulan 'SORA-Q' yang terlepas dari 'SLIM' sesaat sebelum mendarat.

Setelah pendaratan, 'SLIM' mengalami masalah pembangkit listrik. Gambar-gambar tersebut menunjukkan panel surya yang menghadap ke tanah, memberikan kesan bahwa 'SLIM' telah terbalik.

Perwakilan JAXA berspekulasi, "(Terbaliknya 'SLIM') bisa jadi disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor eksternal yang menyebabkan kerusakan pada mesin utama."

Pada catatan positifnya, JAXA mengungkapkan bahwa misi ini mencapai pendaratan di bulan yang pertama di dunia. 'SLIM' berhasil mendarat sekitar 55 meter di sebelah timur lokasi target awal.
