PARIS, Aug 12 (News On Japan) - Yusho Kagami claimed victory in the women's 76kg wrestling final at the Paris Olympics, defeating her American opponent to secure the gold medal. This marks the first time a Japanese wrestler has won in the heaviest women's category.

The women's 76kg final saw 22-year-old Kagami, representing Suntory Beverage Solutions, triumph over 20-year-old K.A. Blades from the United States. Kagami's victory is historic as it is the first gold medal in this weight class for Japan.

With this win, Japanese female wrestlers have secured medals in all six categories they competed in at the Paris Olympics.
