OKINAWA, Nov 19 (News On Japan) - A triathlon held in Kin Town on November 16th drew athletes from across Japan and overseas as participants pushed themselves to the limits of physical endurance in the second edition of the Kin Triathlon.
Following its debut in 2024, this year’s event marked the second running of the Kin Triathlon, a 94-kilometer course combining swim, bike, and run segments. In addition to general participants, several of Japan’s top-level competitors joined the field, giving the race a highly competitive edge.
The winner was Oishi Kazuhiro from Aichi Prefecture, who crossed the finish line in 3 hours 42 minutes 14 seconds to claim the overall victory.
Oishi, who also won the Age Long Distance Championship, said he returned this year because, even at this time of year, Okinawa remains warm and the people are warm as well, adding that he hopes to take part again.
This year’s completion rate was 89.4 percent.
