TOKYO, Mar 06 (News On Japan) - A compelling matchup has been added to the boxing card as WBC bantamweight champion Takuma Inoue is set to defend his title against WBC bantamweight No. 3 contender Kazuto Ioka at Tokyo Dome on May 2.
Ioka, who will turn 37 on March 24th, is aiming to make history by becoming the first Japanese male boxer to win world titles in five different weight divisions. The bout against Inoue is expected to draw significant attention as the veteran pursues the milestone achievement on one of Japan’s biggest boxing stages.
