Aug 01 (Japan Today) - A man accused of groping a woman on a train escaped by jumping off the platform and running along the tracks at JR Tamachi Station in Tokyo’s Minato Ward on Monday.
According to police, the incident occurred just past 8 a.m. Fuji TV reported that the suspected groper was aboard the Keihin-Tohoku Line when he allegedly touched the breasts of a female passenger in her 20s. When the woman called out, the man was grabbed by two other passengers. At Tamachi Station, they were taking him to the station master's office when he broke free and jumped from the platform onto the train tracks. He then climbed over a fence and ran away.
Police said the suspect appeared to be in his 40s to 50s and approximately 180 cm in height.
