Aug 28 (Japan Today) - Police in Koshigaya, Saitama Prefecture, said Sunday that a 67-year-old man, arrested on a hit-and-run charge, hasn't had a valid driver's license in over 25 years.
According to police, the suspect, Shigeru Yamakawa, hit a 76-year-old woman with his car as she was crossing a street at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and kept going, Sankei Shimbun reported.
The woman suffered a skull fracture and remained in a coma on Sunday, police said.
