Sep 04 (Japan Today) - The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has issued a warning to all bus companies due to multiple incidents of expressway buses being parked for prolonged hours within the vicinity of the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal near Shinjuku train station.
Since the opening of the bus and taxi terminal (known as "Busta Shinjuku") in April 2016, repeated incidents of buses parking where they are not supposed to have spurred Tokyo metropolitan government officials to reevaluate and clarify entry and parking regulations, Fuji TV reported.
One of the busiest transportation hubs in Japan, Busta Shinjuku was used by over 10 million people in its first year. This amounts to roughly 28,000 commuters utilizing the massive terminal a day.
