Nov 03 (NHK) - US President Donald Trump's eldest daughter and presidential advisor Ivanka Trump has called for promoting women's participation in the economy in her speech in Tokyo.
Ivanka Trump spoke at the World Assembly for Women conference on Friday morning. She arrived in Japan the previous day. She said "We must create equal participation in traditionally male-dominated sectors of our economy." Ivanka Trump mentioned the 4th Industrial revolution, which is integrating artificial intelligence, social media and other cutting-edge technologies into every aspect of society. She said it is important not to allow women to be left behind by the 4th Industrial revolution. She went on to say that "countries like the United States and Japan cannot be complacent. We must continue to champion reforms in our own countries while also empowering women in restricted economies."
