Nov 07 (Nikkei) - Tokyo stocks extended their winning streak for a fourth day Tuesday, lifting the Nikkei Stock Average to its highest close in more than 25 years.
The benchmark average finished at 22,937.60, up 389.25 or 1.7%, the best close since Jan. 9, 1992.
The Tokyo market rode a global stock market advance as U.S. stocks set another all-time high overnight. Foreign investors continued to lead the buying, amid expectations of prolonged easy money in Japan under Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, whose government won by a landslide in general elections last month.
