Apr 24 (NHK) - The organizer of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan has started recruiting about 10,000 volunteers.
The event runs from September 20th to November 2nd, 2019, and includes 48 matches in 12 stadiums across the country.
At a function in Tokyo on Monday, Japan Rugby 2019 CEO Akira Shimazu said he wants the volunteers to be the face of the tournament.
People wishing to volunteer will have until July 18th to apply online. They must be at least 18 years old as of March 31, 2019.
Volunteer activities will include operational support, assisting people in and around match venues, and offering directions at train stations and airports.
