Apr 27 (NHK) - Japanese airline All Nippon Airways is planning to introduce a new type of Airbus A380 with cabins that are equipped with novel bench-style seats.
The group-friendly seating will be available on 3 Airbus A380 airliners going into service between Japan and Hawaii. The flights will begin next spring.
Families and other groups of up to 4 will be able to lift up their armrests to create a smooth bench.
The double-decker planes will also have spaces where parents can feed their babies or change diapers.
The A380 airliners will be equipped with 520 seats, double the capacity of the current aircraft now used on the routes.
