Jul 04 (NHK) - Weather officials say a storm moving over the Sea of Japan may bring torrential rains in many parts of Japan on Wednesday. They are warning of possible landslides, floods and tornadoes.
Severe tropical storm Prapiroon has already dumped heavy rains in the western main islands of Kyushu and Shikoku.
The storm is expected to keep heading northeast.
Weather officials forecast it will become a low-pressure system by Wednesday night. They say it will likely approach northern Japan through Thursday.
