Apr 11 (NHK) - Police in Kobe, western Japan, say officers who tested positive for the coronavirus were apparently infected at a welcome party for their new station chief.
Seven officers at Kobe Nishi Police Station are infected. Three of them attended the party on March 27 to welcome the chief and others at a pub.
About 120 officers, including the chief and a deputy chief, have been self-isolating at home.
Officers from the prefectural police headquarters have been sent to the station to support its operations.
