Jul 17 (Japan Times) - Mercedes-Benz Japan reported to the transport ministry Thursday that it will recall a total of 58,021 cars from 65 models, including the E 350 sedan, for free repairs over concerns of glass panels of sliding sunroofs falling off.
The vehicles were imported to Japan between June 2000 and July 2010.
Due to insufficiencies in the adhesive strength of related components during the manufacturing process, there is a risk of the glass panels coming off while the vehicles are in motion, according to the ministry.
