Jul 31 (NHK) - Japan's industry ministry says industrial production rose 2.7 percent in June from the previous month. That's the first increase since the coronavirus pandemic took hold.
The output index had been falling since January.
Ministry officials says the slide in production activity seems to have bottomed out and is now showing signs of recovery.
