Nov 11 (Kyodo) - Organizers of the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday began taking online applications for refunds on tickets to the games, which have been postponed until next summer because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The organizers said there had been "no noticeable congestion or trouble" on their official website since the start of the application process in the early hours.
Ticket holders in Japan who are unable to attend the postponed games can apply for refunds until Nov. 30 through the site. The organizers will begin making refunds in late December.
